Burgie Wood
A woodland garden and arboretum on the Burgie Estate, situated approximately half a mile off the A96 near Forres, Moray. The estate comprises over 1000 acres of private land with views overlooking Findhorn Bay. Originally started in the 1970s but actively developed from 2008 onwards following Dutch elm disease. Divided into 12 different zones based on geographic areas and species type, including a Japanese garden, bog garden, bog wood, loch area, and quarry garden.

History
Originally started in the 1970s but not actively developed until 2008. Following Dutch elm disease affecting the large elm population on the estate, the owner cleared the affected woodland and established a planned arboretum. Described as 'a rare opportunity to see a sizable woodland garden and arboretum in its infancy.' Most plants are grown from seed collected by the owner. Planting is intended to provide colour throughout the year.
