Lovely wee circular walk that takes you to the Long Cairn, would highly recommend if you enjoy Neolithic history. The Neolithic Long Cairn is 3.5 metres high and aged around 4,000-2,500BCE making it around 4,500-6,000 years old. Cairns have been used as landmarks, trail markers to guide travellers, as burial monuments, ceremonial purposes, for astrology and even lunar calendars.
